How Do I Setup My Own Website/Landing Page?

First you have the decision to create a regular static site or a blog (or if you want a combination of static pages and a blog). A static page, or in affiliate marketing also called landing page, is the page with the pre-sell information that you present potential customers with. It can for example be a review page of a single product or a multi product comparison page.

Blogs on the other hand are a website that is constantly changing with new pages of information. It can also contain reviews or comparisons but the purpose of affiliate blogs is to make as many specific post as possible around the product(s) you are promoting.

Blogs are great for driving traffic to your site but it also requires more time posting and managing.

Static Page (Landing Page):

You can choose to edit your page a using a html editor like Dreamweaver, MS Expression,X-site Pro or a free tool like Nvu or Pagebreeze. If you go this route, it's always good to have some basic html knowledge (a guide is available in our affiliate membership).

You can also choose to build your site using one of the online site building services where you don't need to know any html at all. Examples of these are Google sites, Weebly and Blinkweb.

Blogs:

As mentioned above blogger.com is a free and easy way to start blogging. Other free blogging platforms are for example wordpress.com, blogster.com and blog.com.

Squidoo & Hubpages:

Squidoo and Hubpages are services simular to the free blogging platforms but they are even more easier to build one page reviews with. They are both extremely good to use for marketing.

The Absolute Easiest 100% FREE way to Promote this Guide:

1. Write a 350-700 word review of The Ultimate wii guide

2. Create a account on Squidoo and paste in the review into your first lens. Insert a picture or two to make it more appealing. Make sure you choose the lens with a keyword rich name like for example: theultimatewiiguidereview.squidoo.com. Also remember to insert your affiliate link at the top and bottom of the review.

3. Create more lenses around the topic. For example write a bit about Wii Accessories in a new lens and a short introduction to setting up wireless network with Wii. Name the lenses with appropriate names like topwiiaccessories.squidoo.com.

6. Create account on blogger.com and post a slightly rewritten review of the guide with the same links as above.

7. Post the review on as many free blog and website creation services you can. For these you don't need to spend a lot of time rewriting, just do some variations on the actual title.

8. Search for topic relevant blogs in google using a search term like "wii +blog" or "wii tips +blog". Post comments on these blogs and enter a name like Wii Guide and your first squidoo lens as the url. Make sure you make an interesting and relevant comments otherwise they might not be approved.

9. Submit the review as an article to article directories (more about this further down) with the link to the first lens.

10. Keep creating more sublenses and articles all linking to your first lens and soon you will be getting some serious traffic and the sales start rolling in.

Additional Tips: Create some relevant posts on a blogger blog and add it's rss feed to the squidoo lenses. Post comments on other lenses as well and try to get people to rate your lens.

Of course, the method above can also be applied if you have your own site, just replace the first squidoo lens link with your own review site.

Note: If your spam a forum with advertisement you will be kicked out very quickly. Instead just act as a normal member of the community. Provide valuable answers and post questions. A good practice is to write at least 10-20 posts before you even add a sig. Also, read the forum rules. Some forums don't allow you to have links to other websites.
